Wrapping It Up!

What an amazing week we have had. With dust on our feet and a distinct smell emanating from the group, we are packed up and ready to travel tomorrow. We will stop by the market to grab a few souveniers and head to the airport! Everyone is anxiously waiting to see their friends and family back home but will not be quick to forget the new friends they have made this week.

I could not be more proud of our 21 students. They have engaged beyond our expectations. They have seen things that have challenged their understanding of life and blessings. The presence of poverty that exists in our world is challenging to understand; a topic in which I am not sure one will ever fully understand. Our students continue to process what they have seen and their continued role in making a difference.

The past few days have been full of water park adventures, ice cream stops, candy-filled piƱatas, a 3-hour bus ride to Matagalpa for a flannel graph training with 50 church leaders, and so much more! God continues to show up and stories await you when we return. Until then, here are a few more pictures of this amazing community in action. We'll see you soon!
